Recently, COSCO SHIPPING Piraeus Port Authority S.A. (PPA S.A.) won two distinctions at the “Protagonists of the Greek Economy 2026” Awards: “Industry Leader in the Port Authorities Category” and “Historic Enterprise”.

One Award Recognizes Present-day Achievements

The “Industry Leader in the Port Authorities Category” is selected based on objective financial indicators such as operating revenue, pre-tax profit, and cash reserves. It is granted to enterprises with leading operational performance across key sectors in Greece. This award demonstrates PPA’s robust operational performance and its significant position in Greece’s port industry and national economy.

The Other Award Celebrates Long-term Legacy

The “Historic Enterprise” is a newly established distinction in this year’s selection, aiming to recognize enterprises that have long driven the development of Greek commerce and the economy. Since its establishment in 1930, PPA has been in continuous operation for 96 years, participating in and witnessing the development of the Greek shipping and port industry, international trade, and the regional economy.
