On February 6, Lima Airport Partners (LAP) officially announced that COSCO SHIPPING and Anjun Logistics were awarded the operation rights for the airside warehouse project at Lima Airport.
The project marks COSCO SHIPPING’s first successful bid for critical infrastructure at an overseas aviation hub, significantly strengthening the group’s logistics footprint in Latin America. The development represents a solid step toward establishing an integrated “sea-land-air” hub in the South American region and advancing the construction of the New Asia-Latin America Land-Sea Corridor in the new era, while injecting fresh momentum into China-Latin America trade relations.
As Peru’s sole international aviation gateway, Lima Airport handles approximately 90% of the nation’s air freight volume. The awarded airside warehouse project, directly connected to the apron, constitutes a scarce airport asset. The facility spans 11,885 square meters of operational space, complemented by a 5,000-square-meter reserve plot, and is granted a 15-year operating concession.
