Bridging the Supply Chain: COSCO SHIPPING Lines Hainan Connects Coffee Farmers with Domestic Buyers

Date:2023-10-19 Read times: font size:[ L M S ]

As the early autumn approaches, a new shipment of fresh coffee beans from El Salvador has successfully arrived at Hainan Xiaochantan International Terminal. These beans were transported from the Port of Acajutla, passing through Mexico and crossing the Pacific Ocean before reaching China. With the help of professional shipping services provided by COSCO SHIPPING, a maritime bridge has been established between coffee farmers and domestic buyers.

Thanks to the implementation of favorable policies for processing in Hainan Free Trade Port, the coffee industry in Hainan is experiencing continuous growth. The coffee supply chains are becoming more integrated, making Hainan’s coffee industry a prominent feature. Numerous food factories, both large and small, have been operationalized, contributing to the establishment of a coffee production base in Yangpu with sufficient storage and roasting capacities.

Prior to the arrival of this shipment, the customer had discovered an error in the number of goods listed on the bill of lading. The company promptly contacted the departure port to verify the handling and continued to monitor the situation. To ensure a smooth pick-up for the customer, it worked with Universal Shipping, a subsidiary of Shanghai PANASIA Shipping, to correct the bill of lading data. Ultimately, it successfully resolved the issue before the goods arrived at Xiaochantan. Throughout the process, the company was praised by the customer for its patient, meticulous, and professional service.
