COSCO SHPPING Launches “New Year Budget-Friendly Route” from Shanghai to Peru

Date:2026-01-12 Read times: font size:[ L M S ]

Recently, Peruvian consumers received a special “New Year gift”: for the first time, Chinese cross-border e-commerce goods have entered the Peruvian consumer market via the “sea transportation + postal clearance” model. As a “budget-friendly channel” that benefits people’s livelihoods, this new logistics channel makes online purchases for Chinese products more cost-effective for Peruvian shoppers in the future.

Previously, the import of Chinese e-commerce goods into Peru relied solely on air freight, leading to excessively high logistics costs. On this occasion, COSCO SHIPPING Lines, in collaboration with relevant partners, has successfully launched a new route integrating sea freight and postal customs clearance via the “Shanghai-Chancay” direct shipping service. Upon arrival at the Port of Chancay, the Peru Post takes over customs clearance and last-mile delivery, ensuring smooth connectivity throughout the entire process.

The adaptation of the sea freight model not only creates room for lowering end-consumer prices, but the stability and economies of scale of maritime shipping also help improve the continuity of commodity supply and expand consumer choice.

Innovation in commercial logistics will profoundly benefit people’s livelihoods within the circulation sector. For Peruvian people, future purchases of Chinese products through e-commerce platforms will feature a richer selection and more competitive prices.

This collaboration between COSCO SHIPPING Lines and Peru Post has established a reliable and cost-effective cross-border shopping channel for the local area, effectively converting the benefits of logistics innovation into a tangible sense of gain for the people.
