On September 20, M.V. “COSCO FELIXSTOWE” departed fully loaded with special exhibits from New Zealand and the South Pacific Island countries. The exhibits set sail from New Zealand’s largest port, Auckland and are scheduled to be delivered to Shanghai Waigaoqiao Port in mid-October for their participation in the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE), which will be held from November 5 to November 10.

The exhibits on board include dairy products, alpaca fiber products, ice cream, health supplements, and local natural mineral water, among other signature products from New Zealand exhibitors. The exhibits from the South Pacific Island nation of Niue feature health supplements, natural fruit beverages, coconut oil, and other traditional handicrafts.

As the officially recommended international logistics service provider for CIIE for eight consecutive years, COSCO SHIPPING Lines has provided comprehensive support for this time’s exhibits from New Zealand and South Pacific to Shanghai, upholding its service philosophy of “We Deliver Value”.

Ms. Zhou, Head of the CIIE Working Group of COSCO SHIPPING Lines (New Zealand) Ltd, believes that CIIE is not only a platform for China to share opportunities with the world, but also a vital bridge for enterprises from New Zealand and the South Pacific region to access the Chinese market. With customized end-to-end logistic solutions for CIIE exhibitors covering every stage from cargo collection, cold chain preservation to professional maritime transport, customs clearance, and final delivery to the exhibition hall, COSCO SHIPPING ensures a safe and on-schedule delivery of the exhibits.

With the bilateral trade relationship between China and New Zealand continuing to deepen in recent years, the trade volume between the two nations has steadily increased, especially after the upgrade protocol of the China-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement in 2021. As a key participant in China-New Zealand economic and trade cooperation, COSCO SHIPPING now operates four container shipping routes in New Zealand, covering five major ports of Auckland, Lyttelton, Napier, Wellington, and Tauranga, providing a solid guarantee for local enterprises to access the Chinese and global markets.

As the 8th CIIE approaches, COSCO SHIPPING has once again demonstrated its responsibility and commitment as a leading international logistics service provider through concrete actions. In the future, COSCO SHIPPING will continue providing more high-quality and efficient supply chain solutions for enterprises in New Zealand and the South Pacific region, helping more local specialty products enter China and the world.
