On February 8, the first batch of exhibits for the China Pavilion at the Osaka World Expo, transported by COSCO SHIPPING, arrived successfully at the venue. This marked the official commencement of the transportation of exhibits for the China Pavilion.
In just two months, the 2025 Osaka World Expo will grandly open its doors. The theme of this expo is “Designing Future Society for Our Lives”, exploring how to achieve sustainable social development. The China Pavilion, themed “Chinese Books,” incorporates elements such as bamboo, Chinese characters, and traditional calligraphy scrolls, showcasing the spirit and cultural essence of Chinese civilization.
As a partner and the designated transportation service provider of the China Pavilion at the 2025 Osaka World Expo, COSCO SHIPPING has undertaken the round-trip transportation of exhibits for the China Pavilion, the return of some exhibition equipment, and the transportation of related items for the pavilion.
To ensure the seamless transportation of exhibits for the Expo, COSCO SHIPPING has partnered with COSCO SHIPPING Lines and its affiliated Shanghai PANASIA Shipping, COSCO SHIPPING Logistics & Supply Chain Management along with its subsidiaries, and COSCO SHIPPING Logistics (Japan) to establish a dedicated task force, forming the backbone of the Osaka World Expo Special Working Group. Amidst the challenges posed by the Spring Festival, characterized by limited slots and human resources, the team collaborated intensively both domestically and internationally. Their coordinated efforts at every transportation node facilitated the timely delivery of the initial batch of exhibits.
Key milestones included:
January 28: The exhibits embarked smoothly from Shanghai Port.
January 30: Arrival at Osaka Port, Japan.
January 31: Swift completion of import customs clearance at the destination port.
February 8: Upon the venue’s readiness, the exhibits were safely and punctually delivered to the China Pavilion within the Expo Park that morning, overcoming Japan’s non-working weekend constraints.
