COSCO SHIPPING Completed China’s Largest Homemade Offshore Wind Power Monopile Transportation Project

On December 15, COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers’ semi-submersible vessel XIANG TAI KOU departed smoothly from Qinzhou Port in southern China’s Guangxi Province, carrying the final batch of monopiles for the Inch Cape offshore wind power project. This shipment marked the completion of China’s largest offshore wind power monopile project contracted by the company and also fully demonstrated the professional strength of COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers in the transportation of ultra-large new energy equipment.

Since August 2025, COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers has coordinated and scheduled multiple semi-submersible vessels, including XIANG TAI KOU and XIANG YUN KOU, to carry out these transportation tasks in batches. Through precise capacity arrangement and all-around meticulous management, it has effectively ensured the timely delivery of all monopiles.

The successful implementation of this project is another successful practice by COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers in the field of clean energy logistics. It not only accumulates experience in the full-chain international transportation of ultra-large wind power equipment but also provides reliable logistics support for the global transportation of large-scale equipment manufacturing sector.
