On March 28, the COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers 2025 Global Partner Conference convened at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center. Themed “Specialized Symbiosis, Strategic Synergy, Shared Success,” the event drew over 1,200 delegates from across the global specialized transport industry chain. Together, they explored the future of shipping amidst digital intelligence and the shift towards green, low-carbon practices.

The conference’s centerpiece was the “Outcome Release,” which zeroed in on services, materials, standards, and technology. It officially unveiled groundbreaking innovations in these four domains, prioritizing customer focus and market orientation, and shedding light on several premier comprehensive solutions within the industry.

During the conference, COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers, along with 17 partners, entered into strategic cooperation and COA agreements, reinforcing collaborative ties.

Meanwhile, a white paper on enhancing port and carrier collaboration was co-signed with global port cooperation representatives, with the goal of coalescing efforts to usher in a new era of efficient, convenient, and secure port and carrier cooperation.

During the five customer salons on the very morning, participants engaged in thorough discussions and exchanges on various supply chain topics, including new energy, advanced manufacturing, bulk commodity supply chains, offshore logistics, asphalt, pulp, and automotive supply chains. Concurrently, an overseas agent forum themed “Deepening Cooperation for a Win-Win Future” was also conducted.

During the event, COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers, in partnership with global partners, introduced the “Lingnan Initiative.” This initiative advocates for the industry chain’s upstream and downstream sectors to embrace “symbiosis, synergy, and cooperation” as their guiding principles. The aim is to forge a high-quality development ecosystem for the industry chain, mitigating risks through symbiosis, driving development through synergy, and accelerating growth through collaboration. This collaborative approach seeks to foster chain development and shared success, further promoting high-quality development along the Belt and Road and jointly authoring a new era of industrial chain ecological cooperation.

The conference also featured a suite of themed activities, which facilitated in-depth interactions and yielded significant outcomes. The event concluded with a multitude of breakthrough cooperation intentions in areas like supply chain coordination, joint development of technical standards, and digital intelligent transformation, bolstering the high-quality development of the global shipping industry.
