On June 16, Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. (NACKS) celebrated the delivery and naming of two 64,000-DWT supramax bulk carriers.

The 64,000-DWT bulk carrier is a new type of ship built by NACKS on the basis of its original 61,000-DWT mature ship type in line with the shipbuilding market trend. Compared with more than 120 61,000-DWT bulk carriers built and delivered previously, the new ship has larger deadweight tonnage, lower fuel consumption and carbon emission, and greater habitability for the crew members. The creation of this new generation of intelligent, energy-saving, and green ship type is of great significance to promoting the development of intelligent shipping.
