On May 17, Greek time, a signing ceremony for the agreement on the site transfer of the Underwater Archaeology Museum of Greece was jointly held by PPA and the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Greece at the Port of Piraeus in support of the Greek government’s construction plan of the museum. It is another major initiative of PPA to uphold the principle of mutually beneficial cooperation to promote shared cultural appreciation between China and Greece and benefit the local community. Chinese Ambassador to Greece Mr. Xiao Junzheng witnessed the signing ceremony and spoke highly of the project.

The Underwater Archaeology Museum of Greece, which is funded by the European Union, is planned to be completed by the end of 2025, as a vital part of the “Piraeus Cultural Coast” to be built by the Greek government and is of great significance for the promotion of local cultural tourism and economic growth.

PPA will provide a site of approximately 13,000 square meters to the Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports for the construction of the museum. The cooperation represents another key effort made by PPA to offer and promote a Chinese solution within international context and demonstrates its sense of responsibility in building a community of a collective future for mankind.
