On May 15, the China Railway Express dedicated train for refined sugar transportation between Nanning (Guangxi) and Almaty (Kazakhstan) jointly initiated by COSCO SHIPPING Logistics and China Railway Nanning Group departed from Nanning International Railway Hub. It is the first China Railway Express train exclusively for the transportation of refined sugar in Guangxi, providing a new route option for sugar export.

The 2,600 tons of refined sugar transported by the train provides the raw materials for production purposes delivered by COSCO SHIPPING Logistics to Kazakhstan customers. It will cross the border via the Alataw pass in Xinjiang, covering about 4,662 kilometers, and is expected to arrive in Almaty, Kazakhstan in 11 days.
