On January 16, the first westbound China-Europe block train under the “COSCO SHIPPING-BOSCH” project was launched in Chongqing. Fully loaded with BOSCH electric tools and household/commercial central air conditioners produced in China, as well as raw materials of auto parts purchased from China, the train is expected to arrive in Duisburg, Germany, in 20 days. This shipment marks the official start of cooperation between COSCO SHIPPING Logistics and BOSCH in the 2020 CHINA RAILWAY Express Europe-China import and export end-to-end project.
Since winning the BOSCH project on October 30, 2020, COSCO SHIPPING Logistics has quickly mobilized its resources within the system, set up overseas and domestic project teams, and overcame the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and efficiently finished the demand communication with BOSCH. Based on the successful completion of testing of multiple inbound/outbound routes and the special train's trial operation in December 2020, the project was officially launched in January 2021 to provide full supply chain logistics services for more than 100 BOSCH factories in Europe and over 30 factories in China. The train opens up a new efficient logistics channel for BOSCH, which will adequately ensure the stability of BOSCH's global supply chain.
